I know that you don’t need to sterilize or pasteurize the coffee grounds as they are heated with boiling water as part of the coffee making process. Due to distances I have to travel to collect it I was wondering if I froze it or microwaved it would I increase the 24 hour time frame that the coffee grounds needs to be used in?

Freezing it to prevent any moulds starting to grow would be preferable to microwaving it. Even refridgerating the coffee can help to extend the time scale to 2-3 days instead of 24 hours. The key is to keep the coffee in a condition wherby any mould spores won’t prosper, so the cooler the better.
